NCAA Football Picks for Week 13

Pretty good week again last week, as I went 19–2 and very nearly got the score correct on both the Connecticut/Notre Dame and Ole Miss/LSU games. I picked the Texas/TA&M winner on my Twitter feed last night (I had Texas, 45–14), so I'm 1–0 on the week but not close on the score. The week prior (I wasn't able to recapitulate my stats because of the conference), I was 17–3, nailing the UNC/Miami "upset" (and nearly getting the score right) and the UCF "upset" of Houston, though I was surprised by the Stanford/USC beatdown. Here are this week's games: Florida 38, Florida State 24: FSU has a puncher's chance because their offense could explode against the Gators, and UF's offense hasn't been especially impressive this year (teams can just play them inside-out and force UF to beat them with their receivers outside the numbers, where they don't have the playmakers they did last year), but I don't think FSU's defense holds up enough to win. With Christian Ponder healthy, I'd definitely have this one closer, but E.J. Manuel is still about two years from being a truly polished passer. Look for UF to force FSU to throw downfield more than they'd like, which will lead to some mistakes. Clemson 31, South Carolina 17 Georgia Tech 41, Georgia 34 Virginia Tech 31, Virginia 17 Boston College 28, Maryland 23 Miami 28, USF 20 UNC 27, NC St. 20 Wake Forest 31, Duke 30 'Bama 31, Auburn 13 Arkansas 34, LSU 31 Kentucky 27, Tenn 24 Miss St. 28, Ole Miss 27 TCU 45, New Mexico 10 Cinti 38, Illinois 17 Houston 42, Rice 20 Boise St. 38, Nevada 20 USC 31, UCLA 28 Utah 34, BYU 31 Oklahoma St. 31, OU 21 Pitt 31, West Virginia 24 Last week: 19–2; Season: 118–34 (77.6%)

‘Bama 31, Auburn 13--- youve already missed that one! ;-) (and as much as i love duke, you give them way too much credit against wf). and tn will beat ky. the rest you're probably pretty close.

Yup, Auburn played it a bit closer than I expected. Here's hoping FSU exceeds my expectations against UF. They could win, but it would take everything going right. I almost picked Duke against Wake. I'm not sure they won't actually win that game; Wake's defense isn't all that good this year.
