NCAA Football Picks for Week 9

Had a pretty good week on the picks (25–3) last week; hopefully that keeps up. ACC: Virginia Tech 19, UNC 13 — VaTech will struggle to score against the Heels' outstanding run defense, but UNC's offense is still not quite good enough for me to pick the upset. This one will be close, though. Miami 34, Wake Forest 20 — Miami won't lose this after last week's loss to Clemson. Georgia Tech 34, Vanderbilt 17 — Georgia Tech is very good, at #4 in the country in FEI. Virginia 27, Duke 24 — UVa is improving every week, and their defense is good enough to slow Duke down. Boston College 31, Central Michigan 24 Florida State 42, NC State 34 — This is the kind of game FSU has lost recently, but the return of Justin Mincey on the interior has helped the FSU defense just enough to create a little space here. The game will still look like a track meet. SEC: Arkansas 45, Eastern Michigan 17 LSU 41, Tulane 13 Florida 34, Georgia 24 — I hope I'm wrong, but UF is strong on defense. Tennessee 27, South Carolina 17 Ole Miss 33, Auburn 23 Miss St 27, Kentucky 23 Other Top 25: TCU 42, UNLV 6 Boise St. 45, SJSU 10 Notre Dame 39, Wash St. 17 Oklahoma 38, Kansas St. 17 Iowa 31, Indiana 20 Penn St. 38, Northwestern 20 Utah 31, Wyoming 24 Cinci 34, Syracuse 20 Houston 38, Southern Miss 23 Texas 31, Oklahoma St. 24 West Virginia 31, South Florida 28 Oregon 34, USC 31 (Last Week: 25–3; Season: 40–20)
